Orton-Gillingham Tutoring for Dyslexia & Reading Success
If your child is struggling with reading, spelling, or dyslexia, you are looking for more than extra practice. You want an approach that works. Orton-Gillingham tutoring is a highly effective, research-based method of teaching reading that helps students build strong literacy skills and lasting confidence.

As a trained Orton-Gillingham tutor, I provide individualized, one-on-one reading instruction using a structured literacy approach that is explicit, systematic, sequential, and multisensory. Every lesson is tailored to your child’s unique strengths and learning needs, helping them make steady, measurable progress.
I completed my Orton-Gillingham training through the former Massachusetts General Hospital Reading Disabilities Unit in a program accredited by the Orton-Gillingham Academy. This specialized training allows me to provide evidence-based reading instruction for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.
What is Orton-Gillingham?
Orton-Gillingham is an evidence-based approach to teaching reading that is widely recognized as one of the most effective methods for students with dyslexia and other language-based reading challenges. Instruction focuses on developing:
- Phonemic awareness
- Phonics and decoding
- Reading fluency
- Spelling and encoding
- Vocabulary
- Reading comprehension
Through multisensory, structured lessons, students strengthen foundational reading skills while building confidence and independence.
Every child deserves the opportunity to become a confident, successful reader. My goal is to provide a supportive, encouraging environment where students develop the skills, strategies, and self-confidence they need to thrive in school and beyond.

Who Can Benefit?
Orton-Gillingham tutoring is beneficial for students who:
- Have lost confidence in their reading abilities
- Have dyslexia or other language-based learning differences
- Struggle with reading accuracy, fluency, or comprehension
- Have difficulty with spelling or phonics
- Read below grade level
- Need structured, individualized reading intervention
Whether your child has a formal diagnosis or simply needs additional reading support, instruction is personalized to meet their individual needs and help them achieve meaningful, lasting progress.
